Kate Smith, Royal Women's Hospital
Kate completed her University training in 2001 and was a very excited graduate entering the workforce as a Division One registered nurse. For her graduate year she wanted a range of experience and variety, and had a particular interest in working in the clinical area of neonates.
The Royal Womens Hospital was the preferred place to complete hr graduate year and she obtained a position in the 2002 Graduate Program.
Debbi Strappazzon, Northern Hospital
Debbi Strappazzon is an Associate Nurse Unit Manager at the Northern Hospital, Melbourne. She is the quality assurance manager as well as being involved in clinical organisation and practice.
The Northern Hospital consists of six theatres covering a broad range of specialties and servicing a large geographical area.
The VPNG committee is made up of interested perioperative nurses, all are volunteers who willingly give of their time to progress the activities of the Group.
The VPNG committee meets at the Aitkenhead Centre, St Vincent's hospital Melbourne. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6.30pm. Contact the VPNG Secretary for venue details if you would like to attend a meeting. Members are very welcome to attend. The Committee welcomes VPNG members to attend the meetings and also to join the committee.
